Watch our guest appearance on Backcountry Couples! One of the great things about the outdoors industry is all the fun people we are able to meet, especially Jonny and Colleen Kuehl. We met them this winter at the Quiet Adventures Symposium, where we were all presenting. They use their platform for education, information, and to elevate the voices of others doing similar work. We enjoyed an hour of good conversation, about our mutual love of the great outdoors! We talked about how we met, our outdoorsy past, Isle Royale, Eben Ice Caves, the Au Sable River, and of course North Manitou Island. We talked about our land ethic, Leave No Trace, our volunteerism in the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Park and with Preserve Historic Sleeping Bear. We also shared some of the presentations we have done on Outdoor Adventuring Over 50, the Fox and Manistique Rivers, Hammock Camping 101, and Trip Planning for North Manitou Island.
