Some of our favorite spots from our travels in the Midwest and beyond

Hiking the Mackinac Bridge

Being lifelong residents of Michigan, we love the Great Lakes Region. Here we are blessed with deep green forests, gentle rivers, and beautiful freshwater beaches. In our travels, we have visited our local national parks, state forests, state parks and recreation areas, and countless local parks and natural areas.  We are avid hikers on our regional national scenic trail. We do get out on extended trips beyond the Midwest also, and love a good adventure.

This is an ongoing informational list of some of our favorite places we have visited, to give you some inspiration for your own journeys! It is not all-inclusive yet, since there are many places to add from our trips. For trip reports, visit the blog page. There is much to enjoy in this beautiful world, and each place is a little different.
